Where It Started

From Navy SBIR to Achilles

Amida's microelectronics security research began in 2017 under a Navy Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) contract, sponsored by the Government Equipment Management program within NAVSEA's Team Ships. The work produced a breakthrough software tool suite that detects cyber vulnerabilities on chips during design, test, production, and operation, based on a novel application of knowledge graphs.

In 2024 Amida unveiled a specialized Microelectronics Security business unit to commercialize the Achilles platform, which protects semiconductors in national security and safety-critical systems from design concept to device disposal.
